New Normal joins friends as they make sense of the past, present and future after the arrival of some people from the old world, a place called Earth. Why are they here? And how are they going to adjust?
New Normal is an Unlimited International Open Award 2024 commission made possible thanks to funding from the British Council awarded to BOP and Diverse Patterns in 2024. Together they have devised and delivered the wider project Unwrap, an international collaboration of ten artists from Scotland and Nepal, which has resulted in this new accessible production.

These Waves Whisper

The These Waves Whisper project saw lead artist, Tanya Bridgeman, gather ocean-themed stories and folklore from Barbados, Ireland and England. Using verbatim techniques, Bridgeman and workshop participants wove together oral tales, examining how they are both passed along and lost through generations, cultures and across seas.
Funded by Arts Council England and created with the support of the University of the West Indies and Smock Alley Theatre, the project resulted in two plays: The Skin We Shed and These Waves Whisper.

In this interactive play, the audience watches the action from Annie's point of view and communicates with her via headset. It's your task to guide Annie through the narrative, facing mounting obstacles and difficult decisions. Can you get Annie out of there alive, save the others and catch the villain?
